I live in the southern Canadian prairies where the geese (Snow, Canada, Cackling, Greater White-Fronted) and Sandhill Cranes gather in huge flocks to fly south. It was lovely to travel down to see them in their wintering place. I stayed at a nice RV park near Truth or Consequences (Passport America). If you want to see thousands of sand cranes, geese and assorted other birds, this is the place to visit. <br /><br />My niece has volunteered the past 4 years there and loves it. We are just now passing through, several weeks early for the birds.
